Heading back to West Park for another year of summer fun, Wolverhampton Fiesta is returning with full force – and this time, it’s bringing monster trucks! The four-wheeled spectacles will be speeding, crashing, and crushing for the delight of the crowds. Better still, for one weekend only, the Wolverhampton Fiesta will even be offering revelers the chance to ride the giant trucks.
Organised by Harry Jones Company, the Wolverhampton Fiesta will be back on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July. Both days will feature giant monster truck displays twice a day, as well as mini monster trucks, and quad bikes. Added to the line-up and revving up even more excitement, is the extra bonus of mayhem monster truck rides, thanks to the team at Wicked Adventures. The rides will allow up to six thrill-seekers on board at once, while the vehicles demonstrate their destructive powers.
Harry Jones, whose great grandfather started the business back in 1893, said:
“I am so pleased to be able to bring such a spectacle to the Wolverhampton Fiesta this year. The shows are fast, furious, and truly fantastic, so to be able to have them in West Park is a real treat. I hope that everybody enjoys them as much as I will!”
If monster trucks aren’t quite refined enough for your tastes, never fear: the weekend still has some wheely-great entertainment up its sleeve. The weekend will be hosting a classic car collection, featuring an Austin York from 1936 and a Morris Minor from 1963 to name just two.
The two-day event promises to pack a punch for more than just car fans though. The Wolverhampton Fiesta will have a range of entertainment, including performances by The Voice star Jason Jones, tribute act, Beeyonce, and show-stopping tricks from the Stannage stunt team. In addition to fire breathers, stilt walkers, and Chinese Dragon dancers, there will be fun for all the family, including a moving T-Rex Dinosaur, puppet shows, and Punch & Judy performances.
The action will all be complemented by a giant fun fair by the Harry Jones Company, which is one of the Black Country’s oldest fairground families, having provided fairground entertainment in the Black Country for more than a century.
“This year, everything will be bigger and better! Last year, we welcomed over 15,000 people and we hope that we’ll see all these familiar faces and more return! This is our second year of running the Wolverhampton Fiesta, and we hope that the city gets behind us once more for a weekend of fun.”
Wolverhampton Fiesta will return to West Park from 12pm until 8pm on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 July. In addition to the entertainment, there will also be licensed bars, food courts and trade stalls. Entry is £3 for adults and £2 for children (additional charges apply for rides and stalls).
