ViDERE, the Birmingham-based specialist aquarium design and installation company, is set to make a splash at The Senator Group this month with the launch of its second Life Gallery. The one-week exhibition will take a deep-dive into nature aquariums and natural art at the Jewellery Quarter venue from 9 – 14 March. 

Linking nature, interiors and wellbeing, the one-week event has been curated to inspire and showcase how aquariums can incorporate nature into your business and homes. Each piece is entirely unique and brings together aspects of architecture, horticulture and interior design all in the form of an aquarium. 

ViDERE will also be hosting a range of events and workshops throughout the week, which all celebrate Human-Centred Design and biophilia. Not only are the ViDERE pieces crafted to be beautifully eye-catching, but the installations all have deep roots into wellness.

Akil Beckford, the director of ViDERE, is looking forward to bringing the exhibit to the Jewellery Quarter. He commented:

“After the success of our first Life Gallery, we are so excited to be hosting our second in this grand building situated in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter. The team has been working hard towards the second showcase, creating new innovative styles and carrying out a unique mental health study that was a huge success. It’s great to be able to share with the city the great work we are producing and we do hope it influences more people to embrace the impact of biophilic design.”

The team will be hosting a table talk to discuss the findings of a recent study into aquariums and wellness in the workplace. Looking specifically at the impact on heart rate and blood pressure, ViDERE recorded results before and after employees at award winning digital marketing agency, Lightbox Digital. The results showed that looking into a planted aquarium for 10 minutes led to an average drop in blood pressure by 15.6% and an average drop in heart rate by 3%.
