THESTUDIO SETS SIGHTS HIGH AFTER RECORD YEAR

As well as turning 10 in 2016, it seems that thestudio had even more to celebrate last year. Over the last 12 months, the group has enjoyed record sales figures, the opening of its fourth venue, and its highest turnover to date. To keep the momentum growing, the team has welcomed 2 new members on board so far this year, showing there’s no stopping thestudio.

Known for its fresh and colourful take on the typically monochrome corporate world, thestudio has firmly secured its place as one of the leading independent venues to meet, train, and entertain. Over 112,000 customers were welcomed to thestudio in 2016, which is a phenomenal 21% increase from 2015. Since opening its doors in Glasgow at the close of last year, the group has a total of 42 meeting rooms across its city centre sites. Both of these figures are expected to increase this year, with expansion plans already in the pipeline for this summer.

thestudio’s Director Emma Jennings commented on the tremendous growth of the company, saying:

“It seems fitting that thestudio has enjoyed such success in the year that it turned ten, as we rounded off the decade with a spring in our step! With highlights like the opening of thestudioglasgow and our £4.5million turnover, it has been a historic year for us. However, we intend to make 2017 even better, which is why we’ve continued to make improvements and listen to what it is that our customers want.”

The new year has brought with it two new team appointments – Jill Bollard in Manchester and Tracey Morrison in Glasgow – who have joined the Business Development team . The candidates were chosen because of their extensive knowledge of the respective region and their background in the corporate events world.

“As we continue to grow, it’s important to us that our team follows suit so that we can continue to deliver on our ‘Customer First’ guarantee. We had a great deal of interest in our latest vacancies, so we are confident that we are doing something right! We’re excited to have our recent additions on board and we hope to have even more success to report as the year continues,” added Jennings.
