NEW STORE ADDS THE SPARKLE TO MAILBOX HOMEWARES

There’s no place like homewares for luxury brand iLite as it gets set to open Birmingham’s first Swarovski Lighting partner store. Joining the likes of Heal’s and Made.com, iLite Mailbox will open its doors on Monday 13 November on level one of the luxury shopping destination.

The Birmingham boutique will be the only place for lighting lovers and those with an eye for interiors to get their hands on the signature crystal glass styles. Building on iLite’s existing partnership with Swarovski Lighting, this unique store will showcase perfectly-crafted pendants, wall lights and table lamps, with prices ranging from £200 to more than £200,000.

In 2011 the Swarovski company formally established Swarovski Lighting, which includes two distinct premium lighting brands: Swarovski with its contemporary aesthetic and Schonbek with its classic designs. The Swarovski brand marvels spaces and amazes with its emotional aura of inspiration. Its contemporary and fresh design unites expertise in cut crystal with state-of-the-art lighting technology as well as ideas from the most renowned designers of today.

Since 1870 the Schonbek brand has been synonymous with authentic, handcrafted crystal chandeliers of the highest heirloom quality, which can be found in the Palace of Versailles and even the White House. The height of bespoke luxury, each chandelier is delicately handcrafted and made to order.

Other brands set to feature in iLite Mailbox include Italian design powerhouses Masiero and Foscarini, and the latter’s project with Diesel Living; Diesel Lighting.

Eighteen months in the making, iLite Mailbox has been a labour of love; bringing the first Swarovski Lighting partner store to the high street. The height of luxurious interior design, the showroom will be home to the best residential and commercial lighting. Speaking about her new venture, owner Jane Vaar, comments:

“Having worked so hard to bring this new store to Birmingham, I am so excited to finally be reaching the opening date. We had already been partners with Swarovski Lighting for two years but 18 months ago we started discussions to bring their beautiful, untouched concept to a retail store, and that’s where it all began. The Mailbox was the obvious choice as the best mall outside of London and to be situated alongside brands like Siematic, Made.com and Heal’s made it even more of an attraction.”

Owner of iLite Mailbox, Jane Vaar has over seven years’ customer service experience and has spent four years working in the luxury retail and lighting sector. Also joining Jane is Yasmin Saddique, who has worked for Swarovski previously, and Sunita Kaur, an expert in luxury retail.

“It has been important throughout to ensure that luxury remains high on our list of priorities; bringing the most innovative lighting brands to the city, but also providing the highest level of customer service and care. We will be building on the iLite brand’s 35 years’ experience with our wonderful team who have worked across a number of luxury brands to offer clients a full service approach to their needs; from design ideas and styles, to installation and after care. I cannot wait to open the doors to iLite Mailbox, a truly unique offering,” Jane continued.

Speaking about the latest addition to the new-look Mailbox, David Pardoe, head of marketing, retail and tenant engagement at the Mailbox, comments:

“With the recent opening of Heal’s and Made.com as part of our new Homewares section, Level 1 of the Mailbox has become the destination in the city for premium home and lifestyle retailers.

“iLite will be a very welcome addition to our already fantastic collection of brands and will be the perfect offering for our discerning customer.”
