LOVE LOGS FIRED UP FOR THE FUTURE AFTER PLANTING 14,000 TREES IN 12 MONTHS

The UK’s first plastic-free firewood retailer, Love Logs, is celebrating its first anniversary by planting its 14,000th tree this month. After doubling its tree-planting promise from 2020 in the first six weeks of 2021 alone, the sustainable start-up has gone from strength to strength this year and has exciting growth plans in the works for the coming months and beyond.

Based in the Midlands, Love Logsstocks a range of British firewood, kindling and natural firelighters and specialise in offering ‘Fuel Kit’ bundles for pizza ovens, chimineas, fire pits and log burners, which include everything you need to start and sustain a fire.  Most recently, Love Logs launched its Barbecue and Smoking range to provide its customers with locally sourced, sustainable British charcoal and wood to help level up their barbecuing during the summer and beyond.

Commenting on the company’s one year anniversary and plans for the future, co-founder of Love Logs, Heather Emery, says:

“We’re absolutely delighted to be celebrating our first anniversary by planting our 14,000th tree. The past 12 months have been such an incredible journey and we’re so pleased that our mission to disrupt the firewood industry and provide the UK’s first 100% plastic-free firewood has resonated so strongly with our customers.

“As well helping to plant trees, the support of our customers means that we’ve been able to fuel over 3,000 pizza parties, 700 barbecues and saved 14,000 plastic bags or nets. We’re so proud of how far we’ve come in just a year – we have some very exciting products in the pipeline and can’t wait to begin this next chapter of growth!”

Having worked in partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects since its inception last year during the summer lockdown, the start-up has consistently delivered on its founding promise to incite positive change as a small business. Now, in support of Plastic-Free July, the start-up has pledged to remove the equivalent of 10 bottles of ocean plastic for every order it receives this month.

“Looking ahead, we’re determined to continue to be a driving force for change within our industry. We passionately believe that the onus is on businesses to offer sustainable options that are easily accessible to consumers without compromising on quality,” concluded Heather.

All of Love Logs’ firewood and charcoal products are sustainably sourced from British woodland and are delivered to customers’ doors across the UK in 100% plastic-free packaging.
