ITIHAAS RESTAURANT SAYS “I DO” TO STANBROOK ABBEY PARTNERSHIP

Award-winning connoisseur of fine Indian dining, Itihaas Restaurant, is celebrating a match made in heaven with stunning and historical wedding venue, Stanbrook Abbey.

Based in the heart of Birmingham, Itihaas is one of the most established Indian restaurants in the UK. Its cuisine is inspired by the Mughul Era, when Indian dining was imperial and extravagant, which lends itself well to the wedding business and is integral to both the food served and decoration provided at its show-stopping events.

Itihaas already has an array of incredible venues under its belt, delivering traditional Indian cuisine to events and weddings at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Ricoh Arena, and more recently, West Midlands Safari Park.

This latest partnership with Stanbrook Abbey in Worcester sees Itihaas’ award-winning chefs design menus to complement the stunning surroundings of the venue. Nestled in the Malvern Hills, the Abbey has a wonderful historic charm and grace, with each of its 14 function rooms providing a beautiful setting for any part of your big day. Not only does the Abbey pride itself on its stunning vistas, but it maintains a level of practicality and experience in hosting events for up to hundreds of people.

The Abbey caters for every couple’s dream wedding: for example, those who prefer a more understated affair can utilise the intimate space of St Anne’s, and if a huge celebration is more to your tastes, there is the extravagant backdrop of the Callow Great Hall. The partnership will see Itihaas’ help provide the perfect Asian wedding experience in the classic beauty of the venue.

Speaking about the partnership, Itihaas Managing Director, Raj Rana, comments:

“We’re honoured to have secured such a wonderful partnership with Stanbrook Abbey. We recognise the venue’s dedication to provide an unforgettable Big Day to the happy couple, as this is something we also uphold.

“Despite years of experience catering for Asian events, we never take for granted our inclusion in a couple’s big day, and we recognise how lucky we are to be able to provide our innovative dishes to the wedding guests. Our menus continuously prove to be a huge success for contemporary weddings, allowing choice for guests and giving the happy couple a real edge on their big day.”

Itihaas has recently drawn on its strengths to expand its portfolio, now offering décor to suit every budget. From mandaps and walima & nikkah stages, to designer evening wedding reception décor, resulting in the ultimate exotic yet sophisticated Asian experience. Itihaas will be providing the same delectable food at Stanbrook Abbey as it does at its Birmingham-based restaurant, allowing a choice of three separate three-course menus; the Saffron Menu, Cardamom menu and Tamarind Menu, which vary in price from £9.95 to £20.95 per head.

Gareth Davies, General Manager of Stanbrook Abbey, said this of the partnership:

“As a contemporary wedding venue, we’re always looking to broaden our horizons and cater for a multitude of different weddings. Itihaas’ professionalism and expertise in both Indian cuisine and the Asian wedding experience makes for a great partnership with Stanbrook Abbey. We’re so excited to see what’s in store for us!”

The partnership is set to be a real success, with years of experience under the belts of both Itihaas and Stanbrook Abbey, this is really a case of two giants in the events and catering industries joining forces to create something really special for happy couples and their nearest and dearest.
