Printing and signage giant Hollywood Monster is celebrating after completing the first of five sites as part of a recent nationwide contract with car valet service provider H2O. After printing and installing the site at Manchester’s leading shopping destination, the Trafford Centre, Hollywood Monster has been commissioned to take on additional sites across both Birmingham and London.
The installation at the Trafford Centre was a collaborative project between Hollywood Monster and CMYUK. The two companies are no strangers to working with one another, as CMYUK has been a material and print machine supplier to Hollywood Monster for nearly 10 years. They have collaborated on a wide range of projects in the past, including those for Cineworld, charity event The Horny Ball, and now H2O. H2O’s Manchester site comprises 400 sq. metres of car park space, transformed by Hollywood Monster and CMYUK into an up-and-running branch. This huge undertaking was achieved using 120 linear metres of bespoke manufactured steel frames which were counter weighted with 45 tonnes of concrete blocks, 35 sq. metres of UDECO crystal floor, an overhead gantry sign, two sets of illuminated letters and top-of-the- range tech blackout banners. The project took a total of 20 production hours and a further 300 man-hours to put in place. Speaking about the successful installation, project manager John Tracey said: “We’re really pleased with the finished H2O installation at the Trafford Centre. Building the site from scratch was challenging but also incredibly satisfying, as it quite literally took shape before our eyes. The team was great and we can’t wait to continue working with H2O around the country.” H2O joins Hollywood Monster’s already impressive list of clients, including Virgin Media, the NEC, McDonalds, Westfield, Carillion, Morgan Sindall, Lovell Homes, Redrow and Bovis Homes. The Midlands- based signage giant will continue to on H2O’s ever-growing list of locations at its sites in Birmingham’s Bullring and Mailbox, as well as in Touchwood in Solihull and Westfield in London. Employing 70 people, Hollywood Monster is active across multiple sectors including commercial and residential property, construction, retail, corporate, exhibition, outdoor media, event, stadium, museum and theatrical. It has invested heavily in state-of-the-art printing technology enabling it to produce enormous banners and advertising hoardings at high-profile sites including sports stadiums, festivals, rock and pop concerts, shopping centres and property developments.
