Tegan joined us for a one week internship, this month; supporting the team with research, social media management and copywriting! We caught up with her to find out how she found her time at EV., and reflect on everything she learnt.

Tell us what made you apply for a placement at EAST VILLAGE.?

I came across the website and liked the concept of how full of life and enthusiastic it came across. The case studies looked interesting and the clients they were working with looked really cool and it seemed like a really creative agency!

What’s been the biggest learning you’ve had during your internship?

I think everything I’ve done since I’ve been here has taught me so much. It was really interesting to learn what things like press releases are as I didn’t massively know what they were before but was able to write one for a company. I also learned a lot about the day to day of working in a PR agency and what kind of things are done which I found really interesting.

What are your top tips to students looking to secure an internship in the marketing industry?

Probably just to research the kind of place you want to go to and apply!

What was your favourite part about working at EAST VILLAGE.?

Definitely getting to experience working in a real PR agency and getting to meet all the amazing people that work here!

What’s your dream job?

I don’t know but I would love to do something within the marketing/PR industry!
