On Friday 15th December, #TeamEV were invited to spend the morning at Umberto Giannini’s hair salon situated on Newhall Street in the city centre for their Beautiful Breakfast. It was a fabulous morning, with bucks fizz and orange juice offered on arrival, and a lovely welcome from the Umberto Giannini hair team!
Upon arrival, we received a complimentary drink and a walk through of the hair salon, to where we were then taken to the back of the salon and offered some amazing food provided by Purnell’s bistro. Below is an image showing some of the delicious canapes we tried, including some tasty croissants and sweet, branded cake pops which all cheered us up on a cold, wet Friday morning!
One thing that we really liked about the salon was the beautiful décor inside! It was minimalistic, but with some great monochrome features on their walls including this beautiful canvas and artwork (see below), and an amazing feature fireplace which fits in really well with the rest of the décor!
After taking in the interior, we were then all offered a hair demonstration from the lovely Umberto Giannini team. I opted for a loose curl which the stylist did a great job of! The service was also great, and #TeamEV received some really interesting tips and tricks of the trade on how to create different styles of curls and waves for different occasions, and most importantly, how to keep the curls in for longer!

What’s more, the salon had laid out its top hair products from the likes of Kerastase, and of course, their own brand of hair saviours, around the salon! Our stylist used the Mess Up dry texturizing spray by Umberto Giannini on our hair to hold the waves in and to create movement and build volume. We would definitely recommend this product as it kept our curls in all day in the office!
On our departure, we were given an incredible goody bag (the best I’ve ever seen!), with lots of amazing Umberto Giannini hair products which were picked out based on the style of hair we had. It was a great way to end the morning and we left the salon all feeling refreshed and fabulous with our new hair do’s!
