Meet Mo…

Mo Carrier is the founder of MyBliss, the male condom brand which is dedicated to prioritising female health, pleasure and wellbeing.

When her and her fiancé, Joel, re-entered the non-hormonal contraceptive market, what greeted them was a stagnant industry of condoms made for, and marketed towards, male consumers. This signified a much wider problem; women’s needs were not considered and the condom industry needed to evolve.

The first recipient of EV.’s Spark programme – where our team of PR gurus offer 12 months’ pro-bono support to an underrepresented founder as they look to scale – and a current participant in the FemTech Labs Accelerator, we wanted to position MyBliss as a true challenger to the leading market brands.

In a dedicated 12-month PR strategy, we were tasked to:

  • Act as the day-to-day press office
  • Write and pitch press releases and expert commentary  
  • Profile Mo as a pioneering founder in the female sexual wellness space, through founder features and thought leadership pieces
  • Achieve product placement in listicles and round-ups

THE RESULTS

In the 12 months we’ve worked with MyBliss, we have achieved coverage across the majority of leading UK glossy magazines; securing mentions in titles such as Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, VICE, Independent, Metro, and Express, with a combined reach of over 335.2 million and an AVE of £5.5 million. Not only this, but we solidified MyBliss’s credibility and luxury brand position through listicle rankings of top publications, with MyBliss earning first place in both Cosmopolitan and Men’s Health ranking of best condoms, overtaking market leaders.

For Mo’s own positioning, we secured opportunities for her as an expert speaker at events, alongside other incredible female founders and leaders in women’s and sexual health; including Sam Marshall from sex toy pioneers, Smile Makers, and Valentina Milanova from Daye, the global company on a mission to improve gynae health through innovative products and services. We also secured guest spots for Mo on two podcasts.

Outside of the PR spotlight, we also furthered MyBliss’s growth journey, by introducing Mo to our investor network, as well as supporting her on her accelerator journey with FemTech Lab, who set female founded businesses and start-ups on the best trajectory for success.

THE IMPACT
