It’s the most wonderful time of the year: Christmas is just around the corner and the city is ready to stock-up on stocking fillers. But before you brace yourself for queues at the Bullring escalators, battle your way through the German Market and begin the quest for the perfect present, Living For The Weekend has the answer… and you can buy it from your sofa. Birmingham Wine Weekend wristbands are now on sale and they are sure to have any wine-lover weak at the knees!
The three-day festival is back and is bringing all things wine with it. #BWW2019 is set to give wristband wearers the opportunity to try taster glasses of premium wines for just £4, from the city’s most loved restaurants and bars. This year will be shaking up what’s on offer with the introduction of wine cocktails and food-pairings, so whether you’re shopping for someone in the know or a total wine-novice, this event has a serve to suit.
The Birmingham Wine Weekend Hub will be returning to the city’s home of wine, Hotel Du Vin. Participants can begin their journey, by picking up their wristbands, a copy of the BWW2019 guide-book, and one of HdV’s chosen vins to get them started. From here, some of Brum’s best wine-lists await, as wristband-wearers will have the chance to explore venues, old and new, in search for the finest serve.
As if it couldn’t get better, the BWW2019 wristband offers a selection of hand-picked events exclusively for wearers. Following on from their popularity last year, the events range from tempting tastings through to delicious dinners. There will also be live entertainment, last year’s festival featured everything from vibrant dance performances through to soothing acoustic sets, tastefully tailored to the venues taking part in the festival.
Speaking about why Birmingham Wine Weekend tickets should be top of your Christmas list, founder of Living For The Weekend, Alex Nicholson-Evans, said:
“BWW2019 wristbands are truly the gift that keep on giving, as last year’s 1000 festival-goers can confirm! The atmosphere is brilliant as people travel from far and wide to search the city for the best wines on offer. It’s the ideal opportunity for a get-together. Whether you’re looking for the perfect girly-weekend, are treating your partner to a date-night with a difference; or you share a passion for pinot with your parents: this is the present for them. After all, there’s no better treat than one enjoyed together.”
