ACTOR ADAM WOODYATT SWAPS SOAP FOR SPIRITS WITH LATEST GIN VENTURE

Soap-star Adam Woodyatt has set his sights on a new venture, seeing him get into the spirit of all things gin. Putting the London in to London Dry, Adam has launched his own drinks brand, NEAT Gin. The actor has announced that the gin will be available to buy online from 12 February, and better still, the first 100 lucky customers will receive a limited-edition bottle, signed by Adam himself.

NEAT Gin launched back in October and since then the brand has earned itself an A-list following. Applauded by many of Adam’s fellow celebs, the gin has become a favourite with actors, TV personalities and Michelin star chefs alike. Some of its most notable fans include Masterchef’s John Torode and The Hand and Flowers’ very own Anthony Peart.

Talking about the journey of NEAT Gin so far, Adam said:

“Gin really has stepped into its own over the last few years, and deservingly so – the spirit has more to offer than ever before, is enjoyed by more people, and is more accessible than ever!

“Watching NEAT grow from an idea into the brand it is now has been so incredible for myself and Beverley. We are extremely passionate about this project, so this next step to take the brand online is a real exciting one for us. We are so excited to be working with the likes of John Gordons to bring this to our customers and we believe this marks one of the first major milestones for NEAT Gin.”

So, what makes NEAT Gin so special? The spirit is based on a 15th century recipe that he and his wife, Beverley, found. With the recipe listing botanicals but not quantities, Adam and Beverley started to experiment with different measurements of each element; playing with different combinations, constantly tasting and testing the results, the pair whittled down the ingredients, until the eleven original botanicals became just eight.

The experiment paid off, as in its first four months, NEAT won the hearts of gin lovers during its premier at the Jenever Gin Bar in Liverpool and The Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square. With the tipple proving hugely popular, Adam and Beverley approached drinks retailer, John Gordons, who jumped at the chance to sell their gin to customers across the UK online. Customers will now be able to bag a bottle of their own within just a few hours, thanks to John Gordons’ next-day delivery across the UK.

Speaking about the partnership, Michele Bodart, co-owner of John Gordons, commented:

We are so excited to be working with NEAT Gin and founders Adam and Beverley in their release of a very interesting 15th century gin recipe. Nose it, sip it, add ice and slice with your favourite tonic water for a lovely G&T; we are looking forward to sharing this with our customers and seeing if they will be able to identify the eight botanicals that make this recipe so unique!

For general purchase, NEAT Gin will be available to purchase for £40 from 12 February. However, pre-sale has already begun, with the first bottles already being bought. For a chance to grab a limited edition bottle with Adam’s signature on, you’ll have to be quick: the first 100 will be the only ones to be hand-signed and it’s sure to fly off the shelves. If you can’t get to John Gordons in Cheltenham, all is not lost! NEAT will be available from its website here.
