With record sales figures, increased investment, and a brand new venue, this year has been nothing short of superb for eclectic event experts, thestudio. Stationed in Birmingham, Manchester, and now Leeds, 2015 has seen the business grow by 20% overall, bringing exciting talks of yet another site opening in the spring of 2016.
After setting its sights on Yorkshire, the group headed north to seek some Leeds-loving, launching its third venue thestudioleeds in early September. Before the doors were even open, the venue was inundated with enquiries, resulting in more advanced bookings than thestudiomanchester saw prior to its 2010 opening. The space was officially launched on 5th November with a glamrock-inspired party, which saw guests treated to hearty food, firework-themed flare cocktails, flamboyant face painting, and even a Bowie tribute act. The success of thestudioleeds is expected to continue throughout 2016 and has also resulted in talks of another venue opening. Although the destination is yet to be disclosed, it is forecasted that thestudio’s next venture will be up and running by Spring 2016.
The company’s success was not solely enjoyed by Yorkshire’s youngest site: veteran venues, thestudiobirmingham and thestudiomanchester both broke sales records, with Birmingham seeing a 26% increase in bookings and Manchester following suit with a 10% increase. The group started the year well by setting a new sales record in March. However the year ended even better as it beat this record in October, before beating its new record the following month. November 2015 marked a momentous occasion for the group, as both Manchester and Birmingham announced that it was the highest sales month since they opened.
Commenting on thestudio’s triumphant year, Commercial Director, Julian Kettleborough, said, “The team and I could not be happier with thestudio’s success in 2015. The launch of our Leeds venue was a definitely a highlight for us and we can’t wait to do it all over again next year. I want to thank everyone at thestudio for their hard work this year and I hope that together we can make 2016 even bigger and better.”
